Trial dates have been set for Wilfred Hathway who was charged with the murder of his rooming house landlord who died in 1998. Hathway’s trial will begin March 31, 2008.
An application was made for additional funding for counsel as all prep time allowed by Court Services has been used. Justice Albright reserved his decision.

Wilfred Hathway’s next court date is November 2, 2007 to set trial dates. Another application is being made on November 13, 2007 for additional funding for counsel to continue with the case. All hours allowed by court services have been depleted and there is still preparation time needed for trial. Mr. Hathway has been limited in his defense however the crown has endless resources. If additional funding is not ordered by the court, Mr. Hathway will once again be in a position of representing himself on the charge of first degree murder.

Dear Supporters, it’s been 73 days and counting while I sit in jail.On June 18th, 2007 Justice Gerald Albright began deliberating after an exhausting seven week voir dire dealing specifically with the conduct of the RCMP in my “Mr. Big” case here in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As of today’s date Justice Albright has not yet come down with his decision.
The new documentary will be shown several times at the festival, which runs September 27 — October 12.
